Can't search from Onis Free 2.5 to Onis Ultimate 2.6

We're trying to set up a remote computer with Onis Free 2.5 to be used as a viewer to connect to Onis Ultimate 2.6. The 2.6 server can send individual studies to the 2.5 client fine, but the 2.5 client returns 0 results when trying to search the 2.6 server.

Is there something I need to do to allow the 2.5 client to search the 2.6 server? I know the 2.5 client can not open images on demand, but we can't import them from the 2.5 client side if we can't search.
